Is WipeMySocial safe to use?
Yes, in the sense that matters: it never sees your account. Everything runs inside your own browser, using the session you are already signed into, so no password is requested, transmitted or stored. The tool performs the same delete actions you would perform by hand — it is simply not as easily bored as you are.
How long does it take to delete thousands of posts?
It scales linearly with how much you have, so the honest answer is a rate rather than a total. On the default setting the tool pauses two to four seconds between actions, which is roughly 900 to 1,800 items an hour. Divide your backlog by that: a few hundred items is minutes, 8,000 is most of an evening. Use the time estimator to work out your own number.
Can I control how fast it runs?
Yes, there are three speeds. On Twitter/X they are Fast (1–2 seconds between actions), Normal (2–4 seconds, the default) and Slow (4–6 seconds, the safest). Instagram runs 0.8–1.5 seconds on Fast and 3–5 seconds on Slow. Facebook paces itself between 1.5 and 3 seconds depending on the step. Every interval is randomised inside its range rather than being exactly the same each time.
Will I get banned from Facebook or Twitter?
Deleting your own content does not breach any of these platforms' terms, and we have not seen an account restricted for using this. To be straight with you: the tool does not detect or respond to throttling of any kind — the pause between actions is a fixed interval you choose, not an adaptive one. If you would rather be conservative, use the Slow setting, which leaves four to six seconds between actions.
Could it delete someone else's posts by mistake?
No. On Twitter/X the tool checks ownership before every deletion and skips anything that is not yours, logging it as skipped rather than acting on it. On Facebook and Instagram it operates inside your own Activity Log and Your Activity screens, which only ever contain your own content.
Can I undo a deletion?
No, and nobody can — deletions are permanent on the platform's side, not just ours. Download your data archive from each platform before you start. Facebook, Instagram and X all offer this, it takes a few minutes to request, and it is the only safety net that exists.
Do you store my posts or comments?
No. The only things that reach our servers are your account details and a count of how many items were removed. Your posts, comments and messages are never read, copied or transmitted — the deletion happens entirely on your device, and the dashboard receives a number, not content.
Do I need to keep my browser open?
With the extension, yes — the tab has to stay open while a run is in progress, though you can switch to other tabs or move it into its own window. The desktop app runs in its own window instead, which is the better option for a long backlog.
What happens if I close the tab mid-run?
The run stops and everything already deleted stays deleted. Nothing is queued on our side, so there is no half-finished job to clean up — you simply start again, and the tool picks up whatever is still there.
What does the free plan actually include?
Fifty Facebook deletions a month, indefinitely, with no card required. The allowance resets monthly for as long as you keep the account. Twitter/X, Instagram, date filters and the desktop app are Pro features.
How many devices can one licence key cover?
Three. That is enough for the extension on a laptop and the desktop app at home without needing a second subscription. Devices are recognised individually, so reinstalling on the same machine does not consume another slot.
Which browsers does the extension work in?
Chrome, Brave, Edge and other Chromium-based browsers. Firefox and Safari are not supported, because the extension depends on Chrome's scripting APIs to inject the deletion routines. On those browsers, use the desktop app instead.
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking and wallets, processed through Razorpay. Payment details go directly to Razorpay and never touch our servers.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There is no lock-in and no cancellation fee, and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
